About Tanya
I started practicing Iyengar yoga in Saint-Petersburg, Russia in 2008 and in 2010 I began my Teacher Training . Later on I began the Teacher Training again in Iyengar Yoga Institute Amsterdam in 2011 when I moved there. I then successfully passed the main exam from Iyengar Yoga Association of Netherlands iyengaryoga.nl and got the Introductory II certificate. In November 2018 I passed the next exam from Association – Intermediate Junior I.
I teach yoga through clear and concise instructions th at challenge my students to do more each time and progress in their practice. I help them to understand and listen to their bodies to build strength and mobility.
I beleive that Iyengar method is really unique and special. In Iyengar yoga you are always a student, you never can say “I have done it”. It’s about being 100% involved in your practice. There are so many levels knowing your body and mind, so many ideas to see the difference “before” and “after” in each asana. It’s every day a challenge!
I regularly attend the workshops and lessons with Senior Teachers. My teachers are: Delilah King, Rembert Petrus and Barbara Queirolo. I attend every year few workshops with senior teachers from all over the world: Patricia Walden, Lois Steinberg, Rita Keller, Bobby Clennel, John Schumacher, Manouso Manos, Faeq Biria. And of course I joined 4 days Iyengar yoga Convention 2018 with Abhijata Iyengar in Amsterdam.
